Mobile Cath Lab project off to a great start

By Mark Koers We recently partnered with a hospital in Bel Air, Maryland to provide one of our Mobile Cath Labs on an emergent basis because their in-house cath lab was destroyed by fire.  (With unexpected disasters like this there is a rush to figure out how to keep the cardiac cath program up and running while plans are quickly being made to replace the damaged equipment.)  We worked quickly with the hospital – meeting on-site within days and putting a plan together – we had Mobile Cath Labs on the road to the hospital right away. There were a lot of moving parts to making this happen so quickly and there were multiple different departments involved in the process.  With all this in mind, the one person who was most busy and instrumental in the planning and coordination of the project, Debbie Anderson, was kind enough to take the time and pass along about the delivery of the mobile lab, and about Steve Hartle, our driver. We always enjoy hearing good things from our customers, but especially so when a person is very busy and when the comments are completely unsolicited. Here is what Debbie wrote:Hi Mark-Wanted to send a note regarding Steve Hartle. He is such a wonderful, professional, pleasant driver I have ever worked with! I have dealt with a lot of truck drivers over my 35 years in the construction industry and Steve is someone I will remember. From the moment I first spoke to him on the phone until I left the site yesterday, he was very considerate, professional, pleasant, and enjoyable to work with. Then, I found out this was his first delivery for Modular Devices! I was surprised! He handled the rig and placed the mobile cath lab on the “dime”! It was only later he and I realized we had to move the lab somewhat due to the existing awning on the building. The drawings were not correct. It was not Steve’s issue, it was UCH issue with the permit drawings.I wish Steve well and all the very best.Glad we had him yesterday. It made it enjoyable (in the cold) to work with someone who was passionate about his work!If you have any questions, please let me know.Thank you,Debbie Anderson,Project Manager, Facilities Department uchs.org
